As announced at the CB6 meeting in March, we are forming a team of volunteers to participate in New York Cares Day on Saturday, April 22nd.
This will be a unique opportunity to volunteer alongside members and friends of CB6 as we team up for a few hours on projects to help revitalize a public park in our community – Stuyvesant Cove Park.
We hope this will be a good and fun experience for our team – with some free food and nice, spring weather – and that our efforts on New York Cares Day will have a significant, positive impact on our community.
To join our "CB6 Team" for New York Cares Day, please complete the following steps:
- Click here to visit the website for our "CB6 Team" and then, on that website, select the option to “SIGN UP” (by clicking on the green colored box with the words “SIGN UP” in white font).
- If you have not registered to volunteer with New York Cares in the past, when you select the option to “SIGN UP” (step 1) the website will prompt you to create a free user account first (you can create the user account by clicking on the words “register now” when you receive the prompt, or by clicking here to access the user account form). In that case, you would need to complete the user account form and, after you do that, you will be able to complete step 1, above, to join our “CB6 Team”.
There is no charge to participate, and no donation is required.
You are welcome to invite family and friends to join our “CB6 Team”, and you are welcome to share this message with others who may like to join us. However, it is New York Cares’ policy that all volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
After you sign up to join our team, you will receive a few updates by e-mail with more information about our plans for New York Cares Day as we get closer to the event.
