Queens Borough President Melinda Katz presents the Only in Queens Summer Festival in partnership with NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer, NYC Parks and City Parks Foundation.
This free festival begins at 2:00 pm with Bartlett Contemporaries, Alive N' Kickin and The Devotions performing on the Unisphere Stage, a scavenger hunt and tours of the New York State Pavilion. SumnerStage begins at 5:00 pm with Roxanne Shante, DJ Marley Marl, Main Source, Chloe x Halle and funk music legend George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic performing.
International food and craft vendors from the Queens Night Market will sell their delicacies until 8:00 pm.
This year the festival celebrates the 50th anniversary of the official designation of Flushing Meadows Corona Park as a New York City Park.
