President Trump has withdrawn the United States from the Paris climate
agreement—the most comprehensive international effort to fight global warming.
This is terrible for many reasons. But we can fight back at the state and
local level.
The governors of nine states—California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts,
New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington—have formed the U.S. Climate Alliance, vowing to have their state abide by the Paris
climate agreement and urging other states to follow as well.
What Trump did was foolish and dangerous, and we must put pressure on
all of our leaders in state & local government to join the rest of
the world and abide by the Paris climate accord.
