In addition to disappointing customers with low-end specialty items (associated with a limited number of major MLB teams), Sports Crate is unable to adhere to its originally advertised production and distribution schedules. With boxes arriving extremely late, if at all. Striking many as rinky-dink and unprofessional ..... (Maybe if they used U.S., rather than foreign, manufacturers they'd have an easier time.)
Here's the text of an email I received from the company about the delays:
-----
As you may be aware, we have had several disruptions in crate shipments
over the past couple of months, and we deeply regret the extended wait
times for crate delivery. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience
and frustration this has caused you. We understand this is not acceptable
service, and we are working internally to achieve much higher standards for you.
As an initial refinement to our communication process, we will now be
providing regular updates about the timing of each crate’s product
packing and shipping for the remainder of the season. These updates will
be communicated through email and our social media channels.
We also wanted to let you know that our expected shipping timeframe has
recently changed and is no longer anticipated between the 15th –
20th of each month. Crate packing and shipments will now typically take
place the last week of each month. Once crates are shipped, then we anticipate
delivery to be within 1 – 2 weeks of shipment. You can expect to
receive an email with your crate 3 shipping details around July 31st.
In addition, we’ve also been listening to your feedback on social
media and appreciate the recent responses to the product surveys and questionnaires.
We’ve learned a lot through this process, and we’re fully
committed to investing in improvements and making the product right for
you. Our goal is to provide an easy way for you to celebrate with your
favorite team regularly throughout the season, and we’re working
hard to ensure the experience meets your expectations.
You are a valued member of our community, and we hope you will continue
to remain a subscriber to Sports Crate.
Sincerely,
Doug Wadleigh
