LOOKING FOR A WOMEN'S MARCH?

Lucas, I wanted to make sure you saw the email I sent about the women's marches happening around the country this Saturday.

Over 600 sister marches, in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington, are planned so far. They'll send a powerful message: We stand for justice, and we won't be silent in the face of hate. Anyone is welcome to attend, regardless of gender.

Click here to RSVP for a sister women's march in your state this Saturday, Jan 21.

Can't go to a sister march? Chip in $3 to Daily Kos to help us resist Trump.

Keep fighting,

Lucas,

People around the country are confronting Trump's hate-filled agenda, and uniting to protect our human rights. A very powerful symbol of that resistance is forming: women's marches across the country (and world!) this Saturday, after Trump's inauguration.

Click here to RSVP for a sister march in your state, this Saturday, Jan 21. All are welcome to these marches, no matter how you identify.

Can't go to one of the women's ma rches? Add your name to this petition to stand with the women marching and organizing to fight Trump's agenda.

Over 600 marches are planned so far. I'm proud to say my mother has been helping as a volunteer for the NYC women's march, and has already found it deeply fulfilling. The ma rches started from the bottom-up and are grassroots-led. When we stand together, we're reminded of -- and strengthen -- our collective power.

If you're feeling scared and overwhelmed (aren't we all?), this may be a powerful antidote for you this weekend. Many people can't make it to the Women's March on Washington in D.C. this Saturday, but you may be able to come together with like-minded people near you.

These marches will show the country and the world what we stand for. The marches will affirm our shared support for human rights (including rights of immigrants, Muslims, people with disabilities, women, and LGBTQ people), and racial, environmental and economic justice. Our issues are intersectional; they are connected. What hurts one of us, hurts all of us. And we will not be silent in the face of hate.

So please, if you can, join a march near you this Saturday, January 21. Be part of history. Click here to RSVP.

Can't go to a sister march? Add your name to this petition to stand with the women gathering against President-elect Trump and his extreme anti-women agenda.

Thank you for all that you do,
Mara Schechter, Daily Kos
