Donald Trump has no interest in bringing the American people together and governing this country. With a full 1,354 days before the 2020 election and a month into his presidency, Trump is back on the campaign trail! Which begs the question: who is running our country?
Our broken criminal justice system, creating an economy that works for all Americans, and the Voting Rights Act are issues we are ready to tackle. And there are 49 African American lawmakers ready and willing to have a frank and open discussion with the President on ways we can improve our communities back home.
But Steve Bannon should not join that conversation. On Friday I spoke out against him. We cannot tolerate a white supremacist sympathizer, who peddles racial innuendo, pulling the levers of government. We cannot normalize this.
Join me in taking a stand against Bannon's presence in the White House.
