I was incredibly relieved tonight to hear the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against President Trump’s cruel and discriminatory Muslim ban.
This ruling is a victory for our most fundamental American values: helping the needy and opening our doors to the oppressed. Lady Liberty’s lamp is burning a bit brighter again tonight.
This fight is likely to go all the way to the Supreme Court, so we still have a lot of work ahead of us to overturn this hateful, discriminatory order. Today I’m celebrating this important victory – but tomorrow, and forever, I’ll keep fighting to make sure America’s doors stay open to those in need. I hope you’ll keep fighting with me.
