President Donald Trump just announced his nominee for the Supreme Court
-- Judge Neil Gorsuch.
And this will come as no surprise:
Judge Gorsuch is a very hostile appointment. He is way outside the mainstream of American legal thought.
He’s ruled against women’s rights. He’s ruled against
disabled students being protected under federal law. He’s come down
on the wrong side of health care, gun safety, and environmental issues.
I’m urging my colleagues in the Senate to give Judge Neil Gorsuch
the strictest possible scrutiny throughout the confirmation process.
