My friend Rick Nolan is up for reelection in Minnesota this year. He’s
been a great ally on the Minnesota delegation and I really want to help him out.
So I went to the scientists at the Franken Center for Email Excellence.
I asked them if I could send out the first-ever animated choose-your-own-adventure
email with lots of twists, turns, and grassroots metaphors.
They said to just send a normal email and ask Team Franken to
give $5 or more to Rick’s campaign.
Then I asked if we can send out a big, 3,000 word email filled with details
about Rick’s Minnesota story, his growing up in Brainerd, his family,
his leadership for the Iron Range on big issues like reversing Citizens
United or making healthcare more affordable.
They, of course, said how about you just ask people to
give $5 to Rick’s campaign?
Then I had a brilliant idea -- why don’t I just ask Team Franken to
give $5 or $10 to Rick’s campaign?
They loved that idea.
Rick has worked hard for Minnesota. He’s up against a guy whose
comments are almost as offensive as Donald Trump’s. And he needs
our help in the final 74 days of this campaign.
So Team Franken -- I need you to help me help Rick. If you can, give $5
or more to help out his campaign before the August deadline.
