Friday's campaign finance filing gave us some serious news: Chris McGrath's biggest financial supporters are a political machine and...himself.

McGrath gave his campaign $200,000 because he thinks he can buy the election rather than speaking to voters about the issues that matter to them.

But what's even more egregious –he took $100,000 from the Nassau County Republican Machine – the same machine that for years propped up Dean Skelos and recently indicted County Executive Ed Mangano! Let's be clear – they didn't give him money because they think he'll be a reformer or stop business as usual in Albany. They gave him money because they can't afford someone who'll break up the status quo.
