Hey, Lucas – it’s Kathleen’s dog, Pearl!
I have something to say, but I can’t talk because I’m a dog. So I figured I’d try sending one of these email things!
Kathleen’s a great mom. She takes real good care of me, and gives me good food, and takes me on walks and buys me fun toys.
I do stuff for her too, like make sure there are no crumbs on the floor and protect her from the mailman. But there’s only so much a dog can do, and that’s why I’m writing.

I wish she didn’t have to work so much, but I know it’s an important job and it makes her happy. She just really likes doing things to help others – people, dogs, and other kinds of animals that I don’t even think live on Long Island.
