Friends,
Thanksgiving is one of our nation's most cherished and sacred holidays.
It's a time to come together with friends, families, and loved ones,
and embrace a shared acknowledgement of our many blessings.
Tonight, as you join family and friends to observe your traditions, I
hope that the evening serves as a reminder that what unites us is stronger
than what divides us, affirming our belief in a shared humanity and decency.
As we remember all that we are grateful for this Thanksgiving, let's
also acknowledge those whose equality in our great nation seems to be
under threat. Let's enter this holiday season with renewed compassion
and a commitment to support our neighbors and community. And let us never
lose sight of the progressive values that make our City a shining beacon
of hope and inclusion.
