Lucas,
As we gather with friends and family this Thanksgiving, it is important to reflect on all that we are thankful for. I know it’s been a trying, often divisive year, but America continues to be a land of opportunity, a beacon of democracy and a nation of people filled with optimism.
In Ventura County, I still see our small business owners innovating, our farmers harvesting, our first responders keeping us safe, our teachers inspiring the next generation of leaders and our students working hard to fulfill their dreams. The efforts of so many in our community often go unnoticed but they are and remain the backbone of our county and our country. I am very grateful to continue to serve among you.
I am full of gratitude to the men and women in uniform who are unable to spend their Thanksgiving at home and enjoy the holiday with their loved ones. Their service, bravery and sacrifice ensure that we can celebrate in peace today.
I cannot thank all of you enough for your support over the years. Once again, thank you and happy Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Julia
