As summer approaches and the threat of the Zika virus bears down on the United States, many women across our country are facing heart-wrenching decisions.
A single mosquito bite may turn a long-awaited pregnancy into a nightmare of risks, from miscarriage to serious birth defects. And with Zika likely to spread and a vaccine still years away, Congress has done nothing to address these very real challenges women, and our country more broadly, face.
It’s outrageous. We need to do more to tackle this frightening public health crisis.
