IN MEMORIAM: HON. ARTHUR M. SCHACK

Dear NYSTLA Member,

We are sorry to share the news of the passing of Hon. Arthur M. Schack, Justice of the Supreme Court, Kings County, Civil Term.

Justice Schack was a friend of mine and a respected colleague of many members of the bar and bench. I know all of us are deeply saddened by his passing. The legacy of Justice Schack is one of fairness and commitment to the law. He was a distinguished and knowledgable jurist, whose involvement in the legal community and his Brooklyn neighborhood will never be forgotten. The information for those wishing to pay their respects is below. Please keep his family, especially his wife Dilia Schack and his children, in your thoughts and prayers.

Justice Schack's notable career and rulings were often discussed in the media. He was a popular judge and a good man. His passing is a loss for the entire legal community.
