My mom Fran is the strongest woman I know. She has always been there for
me, and she raised me with strong values and a sense of community. I’m
grateful I get to spend the day with her today. Mothers are such an important
part of our lives, and today we get to celebrate them and all they have done.
This Mother’s Day, as we celebrate the women in our lives, it’s also important that we stand strong for women everywhere. Whether it’s equal pay for equal work, paid family leave, or women’s health issues, gender inequality is still a major issue we must address.
Please join me today in taking a moment to appreciate all of the amazing mothers and women in your life.
