Lucas, as you have probably heard, Senate Republicans have refused to even
consider any Supreme Court nominee President Obama appoints to replace
the late Justice Antonin Scalia. It’s plain as day: The GOP is rejecting
their constitutional responsibility, and they must be held accountable.

As a young lawyer, I worked on cases that were before the Supreme Court
and am particularly appalled by the lack of respect Senate Republicans
seem to have for the highest court in our country. Instead of working
with President Obama to appoint a new justice, GOP leadership has decided
to delay the process for nearly a year, which could effectively leave
a vacancy for two Supreme Court terms. Justice delayed is justice denied.
This is unacceptable, and the American people should not have to put up
with this crippling obstructionism any longer.
Please join me in urging the Senate GOP to abide by their constitutional
duties and consider President Obama’s eventual nominee.
