This message, circulated by a local political leader, is conspicously silent on the issue of domestic terrorism -- which speaks volumes, given the allegations on CNN (and other media outlets) that the Orlando shooter, identified as Omar Saddiqui Mateen (29), who reportedly killed some 50 people at a gay nightclub, had Islamic-terror "leanings."
It can't just be about guns, or gun violence, Keith.

Dear Lucas,
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Orlando families who lost loved ones early this morning, and to those who were injured in the wake of another senseless gun violence tragedy. Gun violence anywhere affects us all and we, as a nation, must do everything we can to eliminate this epidemic.
The time is now for all of us to pray, reflect, think, and resolve to do all we can to end gun violence in America.
