WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH?

Dear Lucas,

As a former NYPD Chaplain for 21 years, who served on the frontlines of 9/11 and a faith leader who has consoled too many grieving families, I join with all New Yorkers and Americans to sincerely express my condolences and prayers to the victims of this horrific act of hate and terror in Orlando, their families and the first responders.

Almost exactly a year to the day that nine men and women were killed in a Bible study class in Charleston, South Carolina, we are again witness to the countless, senseless deaths caused by gun violence. The handgun problem in America is out of control.

President Obama has spoken on this and I join him and others in asking, “When will enough be enough?”

Let us all pray for those healing in the hospital, the families of the injured and dead and let us all work together to end this sickening gun violence in our country.

Best regards,

Ambassador Sujay
