NO BESTING HER

Angela Best was injured after a piece of sheetrock fell from the ceiling of her apartment. When she later sued the building owner--1482 Montgomery Estates--the company claimed that it was never made aware of any problem.

After the Bronx County Supreme Court granted the landlord's request to have the case thrown out, Best appealed.

Finding issues of fact which warranted a formal hearing or trial, the Appellate Division, First Department, reversed. (It didn't find the woman's testimony "incredible as a matter of law," nor did it view her position as being comprised of "feigned issues of fact.")

Was that the Best ever?
