Musician, artist and icon John Lennon would have turned 75 on October 9th.
John’s family and friends are celebrating his birthday with a benefit that night for a 501c3 charity that Yoko Ono has described as "precisely the kind of project that John would have loved": The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.
Since 1998, the Lennon Bus has provided students with free hands-on opportunities to write, record, and produce original songs, videos, and game apps utilizing the latest professional audio, digital media, and broadcast technologies. The Lennon Bus delivers the message of peace and creativity to hundreds of thousands of visitors annually via appearances at schools, festivals and public spaces around the country.
The Imagine Party will be on his Birthday, October 9th, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Lightbox, 339 West 38th Street, NYC.
There will be a cocktail reception, innovative arts installation, live music, special artist performances and limited edition auction items.
Only 100 tickets will be sold for the event! General admission tickets are $500 per person. There are also opportunities to underwrite part of the event and be a Sponsor. Details are on the invitation below.
