WHAT DOES MEDICARE MEAN TO YOU?

Lucas -- On July 31, 1965, Democratic president Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare into law.

For 50 years, regardless of their income or medical history, older Americans and Americans with disabilities have been able to count on Medicare for their health care.

Without Medicare, tens of millions of people would be at greater risk for poor health and poverty. Medicare is a key component of our social safety net -- and one Democrats are proud to keep fighting for.

And on Medicare’s 50th anniversary, we want to hear from the Democratic grassroots:

Have you or someone you love used Medicare? What does Medicare mean to you? Reply to this email and let us know!

Fifty years is a big achievement -- and even more so because Republicans attempt to slash or turn Medicare into a voucher program year after year.

But thanks to supporters like you, Democrats have successfully fought to keep it safe. Take a moment to reply to this email and share your story so we can keep fighting for you: info@dscc.org

Thanks,
Team DSCC
