Lucas, 2015 has been a huge year for Daily Kos:
- We were a major partner in the coalition that beat back Big Telecom and secured the biggest win for internet freedom ever
- We organized huge numbers of readers to contact their senators and helped stop right-wing war hawks from undermining President Obama’s nuclear negotiations with Iran
- We were a hub for progressives and activists that put pressure on GOP governors to roll back anti-gay laws in Indiana, Arkansas and other states
And, to top it all off, we’ve
broken traffic records every single month this year. It’s really been incredible and it
simply wouldn’t have been possible without you.
Daily Kos has real costs to wage these campaigns and to bring you breaking
news every day, like staff and servers. And unlike other news sites, we
can’t rely on ad revenue to make ends meet—ad revenue makes
up just one-third of our income.
Community support—that is, contributions from readers like you—provides
a full third of our revenue.
Can you chip in $5 to help Daily Kos keep fighting?
Daily Kos has doubled in size in the past two years, which has us far
more impactful in the campaigns we wage and allowed us to cover more news in-depth.
That growth was driven entirely by readers like you, Lucas. Today we’re
the we’re the largest progressive political publication in the country
and we have a huge platform from which to build up progressive power and
tear down Republican lies.
Please contribute $5 to help us keep fighting.
Keep fighting,
Michael Langenmayr, Daily Kos
