More than 250 animals are safe after recently being rescued from a neglectful
shelter in Moulton, Alabama. The animals—including dogs and cats
of all breeds and ages—
were found living in filthy, deplorable conditions.
Upon arrival at the facility,
ASPCA responders discovered many of the animals emaciated and suffering
from medical issues such as parvo, distemper and untreated wounds. Some were housed in small
wire crates, others in crowded enclosures where they had to fight for
space and resources.
This is a truly tragic situation," said one ASPCA responder.
We are removing the animals and transporting them to a temporary shelter
where they will receive medical care and behavioral enrichment.
Never again will they be forced to suffer in silence; never again will
they wonder when their next meal will come.
Although this marks a turning point for these innocent animals, their
road to recovery has just begun.
Their situation is urgent, and with more than 250 lives on the line, we
need your help right now. Your most generous donation today can help provide these and countless
other victims of animal cruelty with food, shelter, care, and—most
importantly—hope for a better tomorrow.
