BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT IN NYC

TLC ANNOUNCES SNOW PLANS
FOR JANUARY 26-28, 2015

The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) wishes to alert its licensees that a Blizzard Warning is currently in effect for the five boroughs of New York City.

All licensees are advised to exercise EXTREME CAUTION during this severe weather emergency.

1. ALL City Roadways will be closed to non-emergency vehicles as of 11 p.m. on Monday, 1/26. Taxicabs and For-Hire Vehicles are NOT Emergency Vehicles.
2. When roadways are open, drive Slowly and Safely!
3. Monitor the News Media and Follow ALL Official Instructions For ALL Vehicles!
4. The TLC will vigorously investigate all allegations of price gouging. Passengers will be encouraged to contact 311 with any reports of storm-related price gouging.

INSPECTIONS AND LICENSING

IMPORTANT: Inspection appointments at our Woodside Inspection facility for ALL Medallions, Street Hail Livery and For-Hire Vehicles for Tuesday 1/27/2015 and Wednesday 1/28/2015 are being cancelled due to the incoming storm.

Saturday Inspections - Medallion taxicabs, Street Hail Liveries and For-Hire Vehicles scheduled for inspection on 1/27/2015 and 1/28/2015 should appear at the Woodside Inspection facility on Saturday 1/31/2015 at their same scheduled time. No new appointment confirmation forms for Saturday will be issued. The appointment confirmation form you have now should be presented when you arrive on Saturday 1/31/2015 for your inspection.

Appointments to file applications at our Long Island City and Staten Island offices for Tuesday 1/27/2015 are being rescheduled. You will receive a new appointment confirmation form by e-mail.
