FRANKEN CENTER COULD USE A FEW BUCKS

Dear Lucas,

So the other day, I dropped in on the Franken Center for Innovation in Fundraising Emails. I was stepping off one of the Center’s hoverboards, like I always do, and all of a sudden a pack of scientists were shoving spreadsheets in my face.

Seems the scientists have been having a fight among themselves about which issue to highlight in this email. So I told them to write down their best ideas, pop them into the tubes (the Franken Center is home to the world’s fifth-largest system of pneumatic messaging tubes), and let me handle this.

The Franken Center’s scientists are smart people, but they don’t seem to understand that this isn’t about prioritizing one issue over another. There are a bunch of fights heading our way -- Social Security, a woman’s right to choose, protecting middle class families -- and we have to be ready for all of them. Help me out by chipping in $5 before our deadline on the 31st.

We’re less than a month into the new Congress, and there’s already plans from the far Right that would limit women’s healthcare, deregulate Wall Street, water down net neutrality protections and much more. The scientists had so many suggestions for me that their notes actually managed to break the Franken Center’s pneumatic tube system.

Now I have to find a handyman who specializes in pneumatic tube repair (harder than it sounds) while reminding Team Franken of what’s at stake in the new Congress. Much to the scientists’ chagrin, we can’t fight these battles one at a time -- we have to be ready to fight for middle class families and all of our progressive priorities.

Help us fight back -- give $5 and help us reach our January fundraising goal.

Thanks,

Al

P.S. If you know anyone who specializes in pneumatic tube repair, send them my way. If you don’t, you can still help us out by making a $5 contribution.
