Dear Friends and Colleagues,
My office, in partnership with the New York City Department of Transportation, last week announced the installation of ten new "Welcome to Queens" highway signs that include the slogan “The World’s Borough.” This slogan emphasizes the multi-cultural makeup of the people of Queens, the most diverse county in America, where 135 languages are spoken by residents from more than 120 countries. It is my goal for Queens residents and visitors alike to take advantage of the amazingly diverse array of culinary, cultural and retail attractions that are offered in our borough.
