Violence in the relationship

A study indicates violence by men against women in their lives is not uncommon. University of Michigan researcher Vijay Singh looked at survey data:
“Almost 1 out of every 5 men in the United States, based on an analysis of a nationally representative sample of men, report perpetrating intimate partner violence.”
Singh says cases included pushing or throwing something, as well as beating, burning or scalding, at least once during the relationship.
Singh advises such men to call a helpline of HHS’s Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 1-800-662-Help.
The study in the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine was supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
