NYCLA 100th Annual Dinner Will Honor the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on its 225th Anniversary
The Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg and The Honorable Sonia Sotomayor, Associate Justices, Supreme Court of the United States Will Present Remarks
At its
100th Annual Dinner, the New York County Lawyers' Association (NYCLA) will honor the United
States District Court for the Southern District of New York and celebrate
the Court's 225th Anniversary. The Dinner will be held on
Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at
6:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of the
Waldorf Astoria Hotel. The event will feature
remarks by The Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg and The Honorable Sonia Sotomayor,
Associate Justices, Supreme Court of the United States. Justice Ginsburg is the Circuit Justice for the United States Court of
Appeals for the Second Circuit and Justice Sotomayor was a United State
District Judge in the Southern District of New York from 1992 to 1998.
For this special occasion, NYCLA will invite, as its guests, judges from
both the federal and state trial and appellate courts, government officials,
and bar association leaders.
The Annual Dinner is a magnificent event, renowned as the "bench and bar event of the
year." Last year approximately 1,000 lawyers and judges attended.
