AN EVENING IN THE HAMPTONS

TO BENEFIT

NEW YORK CITY MISSION SOCIETY

-Event is co-chaired by Stanley H. Rumbough and Jean Shafiroff-

The 2014 " Evening in the Hamptons" event benefitting New York City Mission Society will be held on August 30 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the estate of Ted and Dina Merrill Hartley in East Hampton, New York. The event committee is chaired by Mr. Stanley H. Rumbough, Secretary of the Board of Directors at New York City Mission Society, son of Mrs. Hartley and proud descendant of the Colgate and Rumbough families; and, Ms. Jean Shafiroff, philanthropist and 2014 recipient of the Dina Merrill Hartley Public Service Award.

This year's event is set to be a fun-filled evening of food, drinks, fireworks, and special musical guest performances by Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist, composer, and educator Arturo O'Farrill and singer Cole Rumbough. The evening will raise money to support New York City Mission Society's programs, which help break the cycle of poverty for New York's children, youth and families.

"Evening in the Hamptons" follows the success of an inaugural benefit hosted by longtime supporters Ted and Dina Merrill Hartley in 2011.

This year's "Evening in the Hamptons" esteemed committee is comprised of devoted philanthropists, including Peggy & John Bader, Cornelia Bregman, Missy Kilroy & Jay Moorhead, and New York City Mission Society President Elsie McCabe Thompson. All committee members have dedicated their time and efforts to garner a wonderful and successful event for New York City Mission Society.
