Lucas,
If your inbox looks anything like mine, it's helpful to find a message that cuts right through the clutter. Today, that message is this: three incredible women need our support to win three critical races.
- Tulsi Gabbard is a tireless advocate for survivors of sexual assault in the military, and a bold leader who charges through partisan gridlock. Tulsi's strong, independent and future-focused voice is critical to making headway on the things we believe in.
- Amanda Renteria is a former teacher, the daughter of a farmworker, and a dedicated public servant. She is also the first Latina to serve as Chief of Staff in the U.S. Senate. Support Amanda today and we'll have a strong ally on universal Pre-K and affordable childcare.
- Kathleen Rice's lifelong, on-the-ground advocacy will make her a fierce voice in combating gun violence, serving families and fighting for the middle class. We must help her keep the seat held by retiring Democrat Carolyn McCarthy – we cannot afford to lose a single Democratic seat!
This group of truly extraordinary women could change the course of our backward, Republican-dominated House of Representatives – but they need your support for us to have any chance of winning the 17 seats we need to regain our majority.
Polls show they're gaining strength and that means the attacks on their records will only get more ruthless. To be ready for everything we know will come their way, we need to help them raise $20,000 by April 30.
Only with your support do these women stand a chance against the shady ad money pummeling our candidates from the Kochs, Karl Rove and other Tea Party Super PACs.
And when women's voices are heard, our outcomes are better – for all of us. My grandmother taught me that, back when she was organizing women into a political force. Our fight continues today.
These strong women have been fighting hard since day one. It is up to us to keep them fighting strong. Please, join me in offering whatever you can in the next 144 hours to help them meet their goal.
Thank you for your support, as always.
