Evanthia Tsikis fell while walking up a two-step staircase located outside Kalliope Pantelides's home. And after a negligence case was filed, Kalliope died and her estate's administrators were substituted in her place.
When the Kings County Supreme Court granted the administrators' request to dismiss the case, the Appellate Division, Second Department, agreed that Evanthia's inability to identify the accident's cause was her ultimate downfall.
