NO KING OF THE HILL

In Matter of King, a pair of siblings battled over who should be allowed to administer their deceased father's estate.

Apparently, after their dad's hospitalization for a stroke, brother and sister were in constant fisticuffs over visitation privileges, the suitability of their father's treatment, and the disposition of certain assets and accounts.

Because of their "long standing palpable hostility," and because it was of the view neither could act "fairly," the Bronx County Surrogate's Court rejected the duo's requests and directed that the Public Administrator serve in the event a suitable candidate was not presented within 45 days of the court's decision.

No living like a king.
