Puerto Rican Bar Association Scholarship Fund, Inc. (a New York State non-profit corporation) Is Celebrating 30 Years of Awarding Scholarships

The Puerto Rican Bar Association Scholarship Fund, Inc. (the “PRBA Scholarship Fund”) is a non-profit, IRS 501(c)(3) charitable entity which was created for the purpose of raising funds to award financial scholarships to deserving law students. The PRBA Scholarship Fund was funded and incorporated in 1978 by the late Justice Donald Grajales, a past president of the PRBA, who had a distinguished career as a New York State Court of Claims Judge.

Contributions to the PRBA Scholarship Fund are accepted throughout the year— to date, approximately $400,000.00 in scholarship grants have been awarded since the fund's inception. Scholarships are awarded to law students on the basis of three criteria: (i) Scholastic Achievement, (ii) Community Involvement and (iii) Financial Need.

The New “Justice Edwin Torres Scholarship”
Supreme Court Justice Edwin Torres has exemplified virtue, wisdom, temperance, courage and justice in the pursuit of public service. In tribute to his distinguished career and his 30 years on the bench, we have created a new scholarship award in his name with a preference for applicants from El Barrio.

Please help us endow this new scholarship or the general scholarship fund!
All contributions to the PRBA Scholarship Fund should be made payable to: “Puerto Rican Bar Association Scholarship Fund, Inc.” and sent to:

Puerto Rican Bar Association

NOTE: If your contribution is for the Justice Edwin Torres Scholarship, please include a note or memo designating the contribution for such scholarship.
