Dr. Michael Giordano got socked for significant damages after Alessandro Sacchetti sued him for podiatric malpractice.
When the doctor sought to set aside the verdict, because he believed it wasn't supported by sufficient evidence, both the Monroe County Supreme Court and the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, gave that request the boot -- particularly since the jury's verdict was "one that reasonable persons could have rendered" under the circumstances.
That sure was blistering.
