"The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce is saddened to hear of the sudden death of New York Daily News Real Estate Reporter Jason Sheftell. Jason was a friend of mine and of the Chamber. He served as a BKLYN Designs and Building Brooklyn Awards judge this year and devoted extensive coverage to both events in the pages of the Daily News. Jason was both a great journalist and a wonderful person. We enjoyed reading his coverage of New York's real estate scene in the Daily News each day. He also never forgot his roots. He was born in Brooklyn and covered the borough's real estate scene when many others did not. We will miss him dearly."
