IS MICHIGAN RED?

Dear Lucas,

Last week national Republicans referred to Michigan as a "red state."

Last I checked, it's up to the people of Michigan to make that call, not the National Republican Senatorial Committee. But one thing is clear -- National Republicans have their hearts set on winning a Michigan Senate seat in 2014.

The next person we send to the U.S. Senate matters. And we need to make sure it's Gary Peters.

Gary's campaign is pushing hard to meet their first major fundraising goal -- $100,000 by June 30th. Let's help him get there. Can Gary count on your support with a contribution of $5 or more right now?

The press is already calling the Michigan Senate race "highly competitive." And we all know what "highly competitive" means in the post-Citizens United era – it means special interests will flood Michigan with millions of dollars worth of attacks and smears against Gary.

Gary needs a strong grassroots network behind him. That's why he's getting such an early start. And with this important deadline coming up in just a few days, he needs our help right away.

Let's help Gary hit this first $100,000 milestone of his campaign before the FEC deadline. Pitch in $5 or more right now.

I'm looking forward to having Gary fighting with me in the U.S. Senate for middle class families in Michigan.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for supporting Gary.

Sincerely,

Debbie Stabenow
United States Senator
