"There would not be a booming Brooklyn economy or the return of manufacturing jobs to our borough if not for the work and leadership of Andrew Kimball. As the President and CEO of the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp., Andrew helped transform a once abandoned area that featured crumbling piers into a modern industrial park with nearly 300 tenants. The variety of industries located at the Navy Yard - from set designers to furniture makers to computer techies - speaks to Andrew's ability to attract businesses to Brooklyn. As a BNYDC board member, I have had the privilege to work with Andrew on many economic development initiatives and am proud to say that the Navy Yard is the model other cities are looking to use to help create jobs and grow businesses. I wish Andrew continued success in his future pursuits and look forward to working with him on other projects."
