SOP!

What a week, Lucas.

New York City politics are described as a lot of things, but boring is not a word I would use.

On this campaign, we use the phrase State of Play (SOP) to give updates or explain a new bottom line. Between new polls breaking every other day, and too many disctractions to count, I know how hard it can be to break through the noise and parse what's going on in this race.

So here's my take on where we stand. This is the SOP as of 10 am today:

Recent polling shows a wide open race.

It's clear that New York voters are looking for a true progressive voice -- someone who is not afraid to call for a ban on racial profiling, who will raise taxes on the wealthy to pay for universal Pre-K and after-school programs, and who fights to put hospitals and community health centers before rich developers and new condo units.

So what's the bottom line?

Momentum is on our side and the path to victory is clear. But it depends on you.

You've said you support Bill's plan to bring true progressive change to City Hall. Now take the next step and invite your friends to join you.

It's no surprise that as the race heats up, more and more New Yorkers are supporting this campaign to bring real progressive change to City Hall.

Thanks for being one of them, and for asking your friends to join you.

Win every day,

Hyers
