Our campaign for a new Brooklyn District Attorney's Office began just one year ago and it's amazing how much we have accomplished thanks to you. In the spirit of celebrating our independence tomorrow, I wanted to share with you some of our campaign's victories from the last year:
- We won the endorsement of the New Kings Democrats, Brooklyn's premier progressive club for change and reform;
- We proposed innovative ideas for reducing crime, like establishing a city-wide task force to fight gun trafficking and building a modern cybercrime and identity theft unit at the D.A.'s Office;
- We forced Joe Hynes to reverse his policy of using condoms as evidence of prostitution.
Now I need your help to keep up the momentum. Please join me on July 10 at 6 P.M. at the Cutting Room (44 East 32nd Street, New York, NY 10010) for a fundraiser to support our campaign. Please come out to help us build the new District Attorney's Office Brooklyn deserves.
