LIU STATEMENT ON MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY

New York City Comptroller John C. Liu released the following statement commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr., Day:

"Today we come together to reflect upon and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Each year at this time we are powerfully reminded of Dr. King's decades long non-violent pursuit of equality, freedom, and justice. His lessons live on, reminding every American that it is possible to fight for and achieve lasting social change when you keep your eyes on the prize."
