IN MEMORIAM: GRETZKY

Got this e-mail from reader Gines Pasamonte:

What is it with Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez and her Christmas cards?

First, the friggin' thing arrived in the mail yesterday. Second, ever since the beloved Gretzky--the cat--died in 2010, and she found herself a husband, her cards have been decidedly lame. (See Exhibit 1.)

Gretzky is clearly still No. 1 in her heart, as witnessed by the interior of the card--though I was unaware Benedict XVI had canonized any cats lately. (See Exhibit 2.)

What she fails to grasp, is that her love for her late Gretzky was exactly what brought her hordes of out-of-state, male, Democratic contributors. (I present the (in)famous 2004 and 2005 cards as Exhibits 3 and 4.)

Will somebody please buy Loretta a new pussy!
