I am a businessman and I support Bill de Blasio in the race for Mayor of New York City because he believes that we must create an atmosphere where business and labor are successful together and respect each other in every part of our city. No other candidate has the depth of vision on how to do this combined with the fire in the belly to get it done.
That is why on Monday, March 4th I am opening my home to host an event to raise support for Bill in this fall's mayoral election. I am convinced that he is the best person for the job -- and I am working hard to spread the word.
Bill is the true progressive in this race, and he constantly stands up for those who are underrepresented and disenfranchised. His experience on both a personal and professional level has enabled him to stay in touch with the needs of people of every background in New York City. He has lived with his family in Brooklyn for almost 20 years, and sent his two children to public schools. He was a member of his School Board, a City Council Member, the Regional Director of HUD, and since 2009 has been New York City's Public Advocate -- truly standing up for those who have been unfairly treated.
I hope you will take an hour and come to my home on Monday evening to support Bill and to listen to him speak about his beliefs and why he is the best person to make New York City better for all who live here.
