THE EQUALS

Convicted of murder in the second degree, Bobby Joe Hatchcock claimed that the verdict went against the weight of the evidence.

But because self-incriminating statements had been made to investigators, and his DNA was recovered from the victim's body, the Appellate Division, Third Department, thought otherwise.

While there was some conflicting proof, and "difficult credibility issues," the AD3 saw no reason to modify Hatchcock's 25 year prison sentence, particularly given his extensive criminal record.

Viva, Bobby Joe!
