YETTA GETS SOHO JOURNAL

Lucas --

We knew that taking on powerful special interests in our race for City Council would not be easy. So it has been especially rewarding to see many local organizations and community members stepping up to support us.

Most recently we are proud to announce today's endorsement by the SoHo Journal.

The Journal wrote that, "when [Kurland] supports an issue, which she would do for the residents of SoHo, she commits herself fully. She is relentless. She will support the arts and protect neighborhoods ... and, she will stand behind rent stabilization and rent control to maintain SoHo's history."

While Community Media, which runs Gay City News and the Villager, did not support us, they nonetheless were complimentary in acknowledging that I "won some impressive civil rights victories in [my] career, remain outspoken on the closing of St. Vincent's Hospital, and has rallied community members on other issues including Superstorm Sandy relief."

They also make clear that we are the candidate willing to take on the establishment, which is exactly the reform this district needs.

As we head down the stretch, we need your help more than ever! Please sign up here for a volunteer GOTV shift as we use grassroots action to win on September 10!

Yours,
Yetta
