GOLI'S GUILTY?

lock_bolt_cutter_nyreblog_com_.JPGAfter the New York City Criminal Court convicted her of "unlawful eviction" and "obstructing governmental administration in the second degree," Rivka Goli appealed to the Appellate Term, First Department.

Because her roommate was lawfully occuping the apartment when the unit's locks were changed, the eviction conviction was left undisturbed. (The court didn't buy Goli's claim that the occupancy agreement had been terminated.)

And although Goli refused to open her bedroom door (during the course of a police investigation), since she was on the phone seeking legal advice from an attorney, and there was no "physical force or interference," the AT1 didn't think Goli was engaged in "governmental obstruction."

My golly, Miss Goli.
