BP MARKOWITZ TO USHER IN CHANUKAH WITH THE LIGHTING OF BROOKLYN’S OFFICIAL MENORAH

On Monday, December 10, in celebration of Chanukah, the Jewish festival of lights, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will help light Brooklyn’s official 29-foot menorah in front of the Supreme Court building in Columbus Park/Borough Hall Plaza.
The ceremony will be led by Rabbi Aaron L. Raskin of Congregation B’nai Avraham and joined by Rabbi Simcha Weinstein and Paul Amit, a parent from Kiddie Korner who will light the menorah from a cherry picker. Musical entertainment will be provided by Yanky Flusberg and Kiddie Korner, and holiday refreshments will be provided.
