FORGE THIS BLUEGREEN ALLIANCE

Dear Lucas,

When I grew up in Sudbury, Ontario, it was the most polluted town in North America. Nickel smelter pollution turned my community into a moonscape. In fact, the U.S. space program trained astronauts for the moon landing in my hometown.

But Sudbury isn't that way anymore. We cleaned it up.

It's time to get to work, Lucas. We can create good jobs and fight climate change in America. But we don't have any time to waste: we have to put climate change and job creation at the top of the national agenda.

Our union puts the vigorous efforts of steelworkers and nickel miners, tire builders, and smelter workers into the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation. Can you help us, too? Make a year-end, tax-deductible contribution of $25, $50, or $100 today to the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation to support this critical organization.

The human and economic devastation of Hurricane Sandy showed us that our nation's infrastructure is not up to the job, severe droughts led to wildfires throughout the West Coast, and increasing food prices are pinching pocketbooks across the country.

We have to fight climate change, and we have to put people back to work in good, American jobs. There is a solution, and we need your help now to make it a reality.

Send a tax-deductible contribution of $25, $50 or $100 to the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation by the end of the year to help us fight climate change and create good jobs in 2013.

Let me remind you: there are people out there hell-bent against doing anything to solve climate change, anything to create clean economy jobs, and anything to give workers their fair share. And we can't let them succeed again.

Rush a year-end contribution of $25, $50, or $100 today to the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation.

Lucas, let's do this. Let's fight climate change, let's create jobs, and let's make sure that America is ready to take on the challenges ahead of us.

In Solidarity,

Leo W. Gerard
