ROMAN FALLS

rome_photo_nyreblog_com_.JPGAfter she slipped and fell on an icy ramp, Lydia Roman sued the property's owner--Met-Paca II Associates, L.P.--for the injuries she sustained.

Although Roman alleged that Met-Paca had actual or "constructive" knowledge of the ramp's icy condition, the New York County Supreme Court didn't agree, and ended the case.

Because the super didn't see any ice two hours before the accident, and since Roman didn't note any ice on the ramp prior to her fall, the Appellate Division, First Department, agreed the case warranted dismissal.

No Roman conquest.
