WHAT REALITY?

gillibrand_email_banner_nyreblog_com_.jpgDear Lucas,

Speaker Boehner and the House Republicans are pursuing an agenda that is so extreme, so divorced from reality, it's clear they have no intention of delivering the economic relief the American people need.

We've already had to fight off their efforts to repeal health care reform, undermine women's health, and weaken environmental protections. I can only imagine what's in store.

Now more than ever, we need to prepare for the fight that's coming in 2012 and we need to start now. We need a wave of grassroots resolve and the resources to keep this campaign running strong. That's why I need you to give by the February 28 deadline.

We were so successful in last year's election because we started early and maintained our focus. I know we can succeed again if we stick with that winning formula.

Click here to make your donation of $5 or more to my campaign before the February 28 deadline. We need to get ready now for the big fight in 2012.

President Obama and Congressional Democrats are working to find solutions to the problems we face, looking for ways to revitalize our economy and bring new jobs to the people who need them so desperately.

Meanwhile, the Republicans are intent on thwarting those efforts. They're pushing through a hard right agenda that caters to the extreme right wing of their party, rather than an agenda that improves life for all Americans.

The only way we can move forward with our progressive agenda is if we beat the Republicans in 2012, and the only way I can do that is with your help. I've always depended on grassroots supporters like you to carry me to victory--and you've always come through. Please, help me once again by giving whatever you can today.

Click here to contribute $5 or more to my campaign and let's make sure we have the resources to win in 2012.

Starting now, my potential opponents will be looking carefully for any sign of weakness. Help me show them that my campaign will be as strong in 2012 as it was in 2010.

Sincerely,

Kirsten Gillibrand
